3.0 out of 5 stars The really do work., June 23, 2008
By Steve O (Minneapolis, MN) - See all my reviews
My wife and I have been trying to conceive for almost a decade. We've tried every form of therapy, artificial insemination, and some other, more questionable methods. Then I saw this product. The Denon AKDL1 Dedicated Link Cable. I just KNEW that it was the answer to our prayers. When they arrived my wife gave me the look of a defeated woman with nothing but a feigned hope. But I had faith!

That night we wrapped ourselves in the Denon AKDL1 Dedicated Link Cable and tried one last time for a child. Nine months later our daughter was born. Thank you SO MUCH Denon AKDL1 Dedicated Link Cable.

I'm only giving the product a 3-star rating, however. I was hoping for a true heir and I don't feel like buying a new cable.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best. Washing line. EVAR!, June 23, 2008
By Simon Jessey "nutellaconsumer" (Swarthmore, PA USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I've been looking for something like this for years. I tried it with my t-shirts first, and they dried about 400% faster than with the 97-strand speaker cable I used to use. Incredibly, it made my whites whiter and my colors more vibrant. My wife told me it worked even better with heavy-fabric items like jeans.

1 star deducted because the line isn't long enough for a full load of washing, and I was forced to buy a $200 bag of fluoropolymer pegs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superior vibration and weather resistance, June 23, 2008
By Mike N (SC USA) - See all my reviews
I live in an earthquake zone and was always bummed out when I experienced audio skips during a 4.5 quake. And my living room was so small that I had to cut a hole in the wall for my stereo, leaving the cables dangling outside. A heavy rain would make everything sound like it was recorded in a Yellow Submarine. But now, with the amazing Denon Dedicated Link Cable, I was recently able to relax through a 5.2 quake and a driving thunderstorm while enjoying the nonstop, never-so-clear dulcet tones of the Donnas.

1.0 out of 5 stars Useless because completly overpriced., June 23, 2008
This cable is for DIGITAL audio.

This means, that audio travels in bits&bytes through the cable, not as analog waveform. Tha DIGITAL link already has advanced error corrections, so it either works full quality or not at all.

Explanation: Analog signals can degrade gradually. Digital signals transmit the waveform encoded in on/off states (0 + 1). While digital data streams can *theoretically* degrade (as the signals itself are by nature analog electrical signals), the Bytestream is checked by advanced error detection and correction algorythms that can restore the bytestream to its original form if there are some errors.

As the final analog waveform comming from the speakers is only generated from the checked (and corrected) bytestream *AFTER* it passes the cable, there is NO analog-signal degradation in the cable possible.

If the bytestream is too damaged for correction, there either will be no output at all or relatively long drop-outs. This usually means one of two things: Either your equipment is malfunctioning or you bent the cable too much and internally broke it.

So, as long as you get any sound at all through your cheapo digital audio cable, this "special" cable will *NOT* make an improvement. If your cheap, no-name cable doesn't work (e.g. you get no sound at all), you might want to take your audio system to a local repairshop and have it checked out.

Summary: You can get cables like this for 10 bucks or less. You should rather spend the 500 bucks on a good set of speakers and/or books (here on Amazon) and materials to make a home-made tube amplifier...

4.0 out of 5 stars Can it get any better than this?, June 23, 2008
With plain old $3 cables, my whole family was constantly suffering from violent headaches, so I decided to give this a try. And it works! With all those clever directional markings, 0s and 1s perfectly know where to go, and don't radiate into the atmosphere anymore. Migraines are GONE!

Minus one star because, well, my Slipknot mp3s sound as awful as before. But at least I'm doing the right move for my children's future.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beatific Audio, June 23, 2008
I was expecting high fidelity using Denon cables but what I got was a revelation. I heard God -faint at first but definitely Him. It turns out He has been wanting to get in touch for a long time but other audio-cables just weren't good enough to carry His signal. Anyways after listening to God for quite a while I realized that for the Supreme Being He often is unjustly maligned. He's worried about His son, you see, whos' got mixed up with this born-again religious crowd. Being God doesn't take away the worries of being a parent you know!

This is so important that I'm going to set up a MySpace page for God. I want others to hear God too, I think God is so cool -a really creative type & very worldly-wise so the web page has got to be AWESOME so I'll have to get friends to help. He said he has wanted to make a comeback for years but was concerned about market expectations. Second Comings he said have gotten to the point of a ridiculous media frenzy like Hollywood's hi-concept, block-buster movie promotions, being called things like `Judgement Day' etc as if it was some Terminator movie or something!!

So God will start off small, as I suggested, on the indie circuit doing poetry readings or the like. He needs to gauge audience expectations before embarking on a big tour.

4.0 out of 5 stars This cable has created more excitment in my life., June 23, 2008
For the first time ever, my girlfriend and I were able to locate her g-spot. If it weren't for this cables intuition, we would have never found it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Biggest Let down Ever, June 23, 2008
By K. M. Rastegar (Aberdeen, Scotland United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
So there I was, browsing though amazon, trying to find parts to complete my time space continuum machine when I came across this page. My oh my was I excited! People called me crazy! "Hey man! Hold it right there man! You cant build a time machine out of coke cans and a copy of "To the Extreme" (Might I add, Vanilla Ice's finest work)...Well of COURSE I can't! not without the appropriate cable!

So I read all these reviews and finally start to think im not crazy. So I order it ok...and it gets to my house yeah, and im heaps excited.

So here I am sitting in my Back to the Future T-shirt, My Reebok Pumps and wearing that matted old "OJ is Innocent" Cap I hid under my porn collection...waiting for this cable to do everything that you people here said it would do and more...

Needless to say I am VERY dissapointed. The cable did nothing. I sat there for 4 weeks and nothing happened...except I got very dehydrated and very ill.

I am SO upset right now. I will NOT be buying anything from this company AGAIN.

4.0 out of 5 stars How do they fit it all into only 1.5 meters?! Thats fantabulous!!, June 22, 2008
By J. Albers "Potts McPhee" (Boulder, CO) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Wowsers. This cable is wicked awesome. Before switching to the Denon AK-DL1 I was stuck with a gargantuan 10 meter cable. Those 1s and 0s were taking just way too long to fully appreciate my tunes. At only 1.5 meters with this new cable, my system is running nearly 8.5 meters faster!

I'm totally stoked for Denon's successor set to be released in Q1 of 2009, the Denon JK-LOL which I've heard rumors they've been able to cram into a mere half a meter.
