2.0 out of 5 stars Savior or Pure Evil?, June 17, 2008
This cord has post-dated any existing technology and soon this will be the cord that humans use to tilt the rotation of the earth back into its appropriate alignment after the government "accidentally" blows up the moon, which ironically was also caused by this cord. So take heed when buying this cord it can be used for good or evil. also on a side note its a pretty average cord.

5.0 out of 5 stars In sickness and in health, June 17, 2008
The AKDL1 and I are to be married this Saturday by the Head of the Denon R&D team in a small ceremony on the beach. I've finally found my Cable.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wrinkles, June 17, 2008
Although the anti-aging claims are true, I am somewhat disappointed that my skin is now almost identical to one of my wife's handbags.

1.0 out of 5 stars There IS a difference in quality between cheap and expensive cables., June 17, 2008
There IS a difference in quality between cheap and expensive cables.

For an analog cable, such as a 1 meter stereo RCA cable, you can get a cheap one for $5, a decent one for $15, or a top end broadcast quality cable for... $35, MAYBE up to $70.

For a digital cable such as this one, you can get a cheap one for $5, or a super-high-end, super-well-constructed one for.... $20.

This cable is a complete rip off. It's impossible for a digital signal to not be transmitted properly unless a cable has actual physical damage to it.

SPEND YOUR MONEY ON SPEAKERS INSTEAD.

2.0 out of 5 stars No Support!, June 17, 2008
By Yogurt (PA, USA) - See all my reviews
NO WHERE in the instructions does it tell me where where the heck I can buy the liquid hydrogen to keep the cryo-mass in my AKDL1 cool!
I'm worried enough to call the NRC soon, as I'm afraid once the factory loaded liquid hydrogen is gone this thing is going critical on me. If your living anywhere near PA you may want to look into Iodide pills. ttfn...

2.0 out of 5 stars It doesn't eliminate the effects of vibration, June 17, 2008

"Connector and cable structure designed to thoroughly eliminate adverse effects from vibration"

Well, I used it in my car to replace the distributor cable but the connector fell out and the engine wouldn't run so I sent it back.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not use in inter-dimensional transport devices!, June 17, 2008
By Groucho (Salt Lake City, Utah) - See all my reviews
Like a fool, I bought these cables on a whim because of the low price. However, I got what I paid for when I installed them in my TARDIS. Before long it shorted out my chameleon circuit and Amazon refuses to pay for repairs! I guess it'll be stuck looking like a 1963 police call box until I can somehow get enough money for a replacement.

5.0 out of 5 stars Recently Declassified, June 17, 2008
By OneShot (NYC, NY) - See all my reviews
Due to the sensitive nature of these cables, I cannot publicly reveal my identity. As a high ranking purchasing manager for a particular government department I am able to provide a little insight to the history of these cables.

These cables were specifically researched and designed for our use only. They were to be only sold to authorized government departments and their official agencies and not to the general public. We have been purchasing and using these cables for decades. Because of the economies of scale and the ability to mass market produce these cables now, you get the unique advantage to purchase and own them at an unbelievable low price offered here. $500 toilet seats and $400 hammer purchases were nowhere near the original cost these cables were provided to us for. Only the best for your government.

These cables were used to wire our entire newly built embassy in desert torn ****. Because of a slight oversight of civilians being housed and working in close vicinity of these classified cables without proper clearance, these cables were finally declassified. This allowed Denon to sell it to the general public.

Unfortunately we cannot allow evil doers access to our most highly guarded secrets. Luckily we have been using and buying Denon's newest AKDL2 Dedicated Link Cables. Denon's sales team has assured us that new advances in cable technologies and manufacturing has given us the best cables that your tax dollars can provide. They even mention that at a price tag of just over $24,000 each for 1.5m they are taking a loss on each cable sold to us. They consider it their patriot duty and willing to take the loss to support us. As a small thanks for their support and in hopes they recoup some of there loss is the reason I'm here telling this story. They should be rewarded for providing this product at this amazing price!

5.0 out of 5 stars Warning - Don't believe in the 'in stock' designation, June 17, 2008
By Harold Hill (Des Moines, WA USA) - See all my reviews
I waited and waited for mine, then contacted the manufacturer only to find out that the production line was recently stopped by falling space debris that obliterated the injection molding section critical to proper sealing of the rounded plug lever, compromising the connector and cable structure.

Fortunately somebody had apparently tried to walk off with a couple cases of these cables, but forgot about them and left them in the cafeteria before heading home.

I purchased those cases, but have about 20 extra cables I don't need. I'd be willing to let these go for just a 10% premium over the suggested list price, plus $75 for the premium packaging and insurance these babies require.

5.0 out of 5 stars I grew knew lims., June 17, 2008
By Bradford S. Diermann "Brad" (Los Angeles CA) - See all my reviews

After inserting this cable into my sink, I looked down and noticed I WAS GROWING A THIRD NIPPLE. I know, you don't believe me but I have a youtube video to prove it. I had the nipple removed and sent it to the manufacturer but they still haven't refunded my $500.00. They said they could upgrade me to the space shuttle quality cable and this shouldn't happen again but that one is 10x the price. I really can't afford it unless I mortgage my home. Should I do it?
