There's a lot of negative reviews of this cable. I say, why? It's clearly worth the money.
I sense you're skeptical.
Here's proof: Just 1 minute after pressing the button to order this, I had 7 phone calls from insanely hot women, and got 7 dates out of it. Coincidence? I think not.
I have a hot date for the next week, every night, and you don't. Why aren't you buying this cable?!

ZOMG this is an awesome cable. Non audiophiles don't realise how much ordinary cables change the shape of the bits. The edges are rounded, which just takes the clarity out of the signal. This cable does not have this problem.
Also, this is why the internets are bad for music distribution. As the signals travel often a long way, they bits get rounded too much.

For those that don't know anything about digital electronics, the data streamed over these cables is in the form of 1's and 0's(on and off), even if the cable were slightly defective the data stream will contain some form of error correcting code(checksum) so if a bit is flipped due to an electrical glitch, the receiver chip will compare what the data should look like to what has actually been sent(the digital music is held in a small buffer and the chip compares data values, too long to get into the details here) and correct the error. CD's have been using error correcting technology for over 25 years now to playback your CD with almost no errors. Even there is 1 bit out of order every 42000(once a second) you would never hear it!
The only people who will buy this are the analog audiophiles who don't know any better and want something they think they can brag about to their non-audiophile friends to impress them with how much money they can spend. (they still use vacuum tubes in their amps because it looks more cool and they claim has better electrical stability, yeah right).
A $5 cable from the computer store will give you exactly the same results!
Yep, it's Barnum cable for those suckers born every minute. Denon must've really lost their minds this time.

This product is like a fine wine or a Stradivarius...it appreciates in value over time. Look at the prices for Used, and you will see $999.99. It will DOUBLE in value as soon as you open the package. My only regret is that Amazon is limiting us to buying 6 at a time. Nevertheless, I will be investing in all 6, and within a couple years I'll be retiring!!

C'mon, people- do some reading before you spend a lot of money on something. The claims are preposterous and anyone who doesn't think so needs to take a couple more classes towared their EE.

The Denon AKDL1 is absolutely the best CAT5 cable I have ever used, bar none. Since it's an audio cable (NB: it's not for computers!!!), I plugged it into my voice over IP phone and now the voice quality is incredibly clear!! No more dropouts, echos, or any other audio quality problems. I couldn't believe a cable could make so much difference, so I connected a cable tester to it and saw that it rendered the 0s and 1s perfectly. I'm even getting some 2s and 3s!!! None of my other ethernet cables have ever done that. I only wish this cable would come in 15,000m lengths so I could connect my VoIP phone directly to my office for faster speeds (I speak very quickly, so I need the extra throughput). However, at the current cost per cm, that would run about $5 million. I'm not sure I could afford that even though I'm sure the voice quality would be awesome.

While the production quality of this cable, along with the little arrows that help me(and the music) understand where the sound is going, is mind-boggling - What I found most impressive is that this cable actually turned my binary digital audio devices into TRINARY digital audio devices. All the people saying that it's just 1's and 0's don't understand how revolutionary this cable is. IT UPSCALES YOUR DIGITAL SPECTRUM TO ALLOW FOR 2's!!! Any true audiophile knows that 2's are where the upper-order harmonicas are to be found in high quality digital audio.

The quality of this product is truly amazing and shouldn't be underestimated! Besides its inquestioable value during intended purpose, I discovered a really great unknown feature of this product: I recently played some of my more than a decade old, rare dj mixtapes, that unfortunately only exist as 96 kbit MP3 over this cable to the hifi connected over my Airport Express, and it really blew me away! Even my audiophile friends couldn't tell the difference to recent 256 kbit AAC files! This cable seems to alter the bits and bytes of every song and sound file tranferred over it in an amazing way! I will now reencode all my MP3s over a network connection to another PC using this cable!
